Moscow Subway Map Redesign
Moscow city government invited teams to create the next generation of of the Moscow Subway map. We have created two versions.
Version 1
The classic Moscow Subway map uses a circle in its central part, the so-called Ring Line. We followed the original path, improving the lines visually and adding overall style. Several extra layers of information are added: English translation, ground public transportation junctions.
Version 2
Our second version introduces a new approach to the issues related to the shape of the original brown Ring Line – density of map elements, navigation directions. A more european look delivers straight lines, easier intersections, and allows the elements to be evenly distributed over the space.
